Making your voice heard at the ballot box is essential to the health of our democracy. All legal residents age over 18 are entitled to register to vote. Irish citizens can then vote in all elections, and referendums, while British nationals can vote in General elections. If you are an EU citizen, you can vote in European Elections, while all legal residents can vote in elections to local councils.
You can check if you are on the register via the web at www.CheckTheRegister.ie or by viewing the new register in your local library or Garda Station.
If you are not on the register, you can still get your vote for this June’s elections. You will need to complete a registration form which you can download from CheckTheRegister or via your local council.
