On foot of a motion I tabled earlier in the year, representatives of the Department of Defence will appear before a meeting of the Kildare Area Committee on September 15. The plan, originally produced in 2008, generated significant public concern when it went on display, and area councillors Tony O’Donnell (FG) and Suzanne Doyle (FF) insisted on a set of amendments in order to reflect the issues raised by residents and businesses.
