Residents in The Paddocks, Kildangan may soon see the completion of vital works according to discussions at the October meeting of the Kildare Area Committee of KCC. The plight of the residents was raised by Cllr. Tony O’Donnell, who informed the committee of the pre-Victorian state of the development.

KCC’s report that there are only 5 vacant local authority houses in the Kildare LEA beggars belief, according to local councillor Tony O’Donnell.

In response to a query from Cllr. O’Donnell, the Council housing  section reported that only 5 units were currently unoccupied in an area that includes Newbridge, Kildare Town, Monasterevin, Rathangan, Suncroft, Allenwood and Milltown.
